Nyamwezi

The Nyamwezi (also Wanyamwezi) are one of the largest Bantu-speaking ethnic groups in Tanzania. They primarily live in the central plateau west of Lake Victoria and Lake Rukwa, particularly in the Tabora and Singida regions. The name means "people from the moon" or "people of the west" in Swahili.
